Traveller woodwork in Minor Matters

Post by don58van »

Can anyone point me to which issue covered Traveller woodwork. It was a few years ago.

Which particular aspect of woodwork? It's quite a wide topic

I seem to remember an issue that had Traveller woodwork as a feature article. If I recall correctly, it was several pages. I have flipped through a lot of issues without finding it.

Good news! I found it.
It was much further back in time than I expected--March/April 2012. It is called 'Casing the Joints--the Traveller's Anatomy Revealled'.
So you can all stop searching now
BTW. Has anyone ever compiled a master-index of technical articles? I came across a lot of very good articles that I had forgotten about.

Don
The MMOC produced a hard copy version of technical tips which was and still is very useful. When enquiring with the MMOC as to its availability I was informed that it was available in a electronic CD version only.
May be worth enquiring with MMOC head office.

The man who did the Technical Tips pages (Rob Thomasson?) stepped down from the role a few years ago. Since then the feature has been sporadic and not as good.

I should be wary of any old articles on this subject in Minor Matters.
It seems that both Cuprinol and Sikkens have undergone formulation changes in recent years. And the latter - as an anti-UV top coat - is now no longer recommended by a leading supplier of woodwork.
Osmo now seems to be their favourite.
I hope to do mine in the coming days, taking advantage of the past fortnight's superb drying weather!
