So my Morris has been sitting rather high from I purchased it. Which looks to be higher than ‘standard’ height. So I decided to take into it & lower it by adjusting 1 spline on the torsion bar which I thought gave 1 1/2 inches of adjustment either way. Put it all back together & the car is now sitting two inches lower than when I started.
The adjusting plate appears to be in the lowest hole available so as far as I’m aware this will not give me any more adjustment in raising via the plate.
My understanding is then to readjust the arm on the torsion bar back one spline to where it was originally before I began, & adjust the plate to the highest hole available, thus giving me a lower height when I first began but not as extreme as two inches adjusting the splines as where the car is currently sitting.
Sorry for the waffle but is my understanding of this correct? Or am I making a pigs ear of it!?

"Looks to be higher than standard height".
Unless you measure the distances looking higher than standard is not a definitive.
Check the measurements against the diagrams below and reset as appropriate. Aim for position 'B' of illustration K3.
