Headliner attachment

Post by eveline »

Hi hope your are all well; I've just a quick question I have purchased my headliner for my morris 1000, but it doesn't have the attachment pieces, and I can't find them on the 2 big parts dealers in GB. Can anyone help me and guide me on how I can get them? Pls

There are lots of Minor specialists. If the first 2 you've tried don't have the parts you want I'd suggest trying a few more? Always works for me. Not every part for a Morris Minor is available new. You'll probably have to ring around or email a few places and find somewhere with the items you need secondhand.

By attachment pieces, do you mean the bars, the loop spring bits at the end of the bars, the hardboard stretcher, the copper spring clips that hold the stretcher above the windscreen, or what? It is usual to re-use these from the lining that you remove.

Thanks Simmitc, Yes all I need is the 3 bars (bows) and loop spring bits, can’t seem to find them new. I have everything else. Thanks.
