Cheltenham/Cotswold area and the Kelmarsh National Rally event

Post by Martin in Cheltenham »

Hello all,

I am new to Minor ownership having just bought a 1971 Traveller.

I am interested to meet other Minor owners in the Cheltenham/Cotswold area.

Also I am thinking of attending the national rally on the 25th/26th. I would drive up on the Saturday morning, camp overnight and come back on the Sunday afternoon. I have not been to one before so would love to hear others views of it.

If others are doing the same it would be cool to go together.

Feel free to send me a message.

Cheers,
Martin

Martin,

Welcome to Morris Minor ownership and the Forum.

Can I strongly suggest that you do not publish your e-mail address on the Forum as next thing you may find is that it is on a spammers or scammers mailing list. Instead ask people to send you a Private Message (PM). You should be able to go back and edit your post. If not the admins will be able to do it for you.

Martin,

If you make contact with your local MMOC branch (Gloucestershire?) I'm sure you will find others heading to Kelmarsh. Details can be found on the MMOC website or in the magazine.

For some reason the link isn’t working in the website.

I will take another look through the magazine- thanks

As to the rally, yes, do attend. The campsite is very sociable and the rally has a good selection of other cars at which to look and owners from whom you can seek advice; plus entertainment.

beware of some chap roaming the rally field gawping at engine bays....I'll wear a lanyard with who I am, so you'll know it's me!
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
