Engine Number
Can anyone identify this engine number from a 1958 1GD-U-H. I've searched but cannot find a specific match. Some MG engines include the GD part but not 1GD.

Re: Engine Number
Are you sure that the 2nd letter is a G.
If the number was 10D-U-H it would make sense as that relates to a 1098cc Austin A40 with central gearchange and high compression engine.

Thanks Phil I've rechecked and it looks as if it is 10D with the zero partly obliterated.

Who are the best part suppliers for the 10D?
