Watching the Jubilee flypast today got me thinking about the Red Arrows Hawks.
A little research reveals the aircraft can trace it line back to 1964 and 1968 when the specification was first outlined and 1974 when it first flew and 1976 when it went into active service.
Now (here's the tenuous link) those dates all tally with the time our little Morris' would have been built or driven as regular cars. Mine is from 1970 and I shudder to think of the prevalent technology at that time being flown at 400mph head on!
Hats off chaps (and ladies) to the RAF and Red Arrows.
And to 'Maj of course.
