Looking for some guidance again please..
I have a temperature gauge that works fine when cold, but once the engine is up to temperature the gauge suddenly drops back to maximum cold and won't show a reading again until the the engine is fully cold. It doesn't look as though the gauge fails at a particular temperature or after a particular time.
I've checked there's a 9.8V reading on the temperature sender (After the gauge).
From a multi-meter test it looks like the earth connection on the sender is still making contact.
Is there a guide anywhere to the correct resistance readings of the sender? Anything else I should check before trying a new sender?
Temperature Gauge stops working

Is the earth connection not the engine?

Well yes, I suppose so! I think for the cost of it, I'll just try a new sender and see what happens..oliver90owner wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 10:15 am From a multi-meter test it looks like the earth connection on the sender is still making contact.
