Do those of you with exterior sun visors fitted to their cars use anything to protect the paint around the rain gutter?
I’ve tried using thin rubber strips under the visor brackets but found this reduces the gap between the outside of the bracket and the door frame, so I’m worried movement may gouge the paint.
Any chance there might be someone with a visored Minor living not too far away from Maidenhead, Berks, who could let me have a look at their installation and compare notes?
How does your visor fit?!

Re: How does your visor fit?!
I used Gorilla clear adhesive pads under the clamps as these are quite soft and compress well when the clamps are fully tightened.
Definitely no movement from the clamps when they are tightened correctly.

Thanks Boomlander
Sounds like a good idea - but how tough are the pads? Do the clamps penetrate them?
And is it possible to remove the pads if you need to adjust the position of the visor?

The pads are quite tough but soft enough to compress without the clamps damaging them.
If necessary they can be repositioned but that would need to be done sooner rather than later as the adhesive is very strong.
