Another Minor anniversary

I was watching the you tube clip below about the testing of a Morris Minor on a 10,000 mile non-stop trip around the Goodwood race circuit and I realised that this year it will be 70 years since this test was conducted. Would this be a good reason for a parade of Morris Minors around Goodwood to celebrate this Minor achievement? Of course, to emulate the true conditions of the original test we would have to go in the reverse direction around the Goodwood circuit.

Thanks for posting the video. I can't help wondering, if that MM drove 10K miles without stopping, did a single driver accomplish the same?

And changing a rear wheel while the car remains in gear, seems quite astounding!

Changing the engine oil whilst the car continues to propel itself is quite a feat, too!

Simply covering 10,000 over ANY length of time in a 803cc Minor is quite an achievement

I wonder if changing a crankshaft or big end bearings was feasible with the engine running?!

I imagine that the engine in question was perhaps assembled with a little more care and finer tolerances than the average 803?
