A clean and tidy example of a late model Morris Minor 1000 Traveller that presents extremely well. Owned from new by our family since 1971 - the vehicle comes complete with all it's original delivery documents including the Austin Morris purchase invoice from 1970.

The vehicle has been garaged it's entire life, being well maintained throughout ownership with minimal mileage. The paintwork is in extremely good order with its wooden coachwork being replaced with new in 2010 and body restoration occurring in 2002. The interior trim and instruments are original and in very tidy condition. The vehicle has had tasteful and sympathetic modifications to improve performance and drivability without spoiling the vehicles original character and charm. The engine was professionally rebuilt late 2021 using the original 1098cc bottom end and has barely been used since (engine not even run-in!). As part of the rebuild the cylinder head was upgraded to a vastly improved and rare Cooper cylinder head along with new Kent performance camshaft and supporting components.

The vehicle drives exceptionally well, offering a level of performance that now allows it to easily cruise with more powerful modern vehicles on todays roads. The gearbox and drivetrain are original and good working condition - the gearbox has a smooth easy gear selection / change with no unusual issues. The brakes and suspension have been upgraded with a brake booster and remote reservoir fitted to provide servo assisted brakes as well as a front anti-roll bar to improve handling characteristics.

The vehicle is ready to enjoy with the only known issues being the windscreen washer pump not working currently, and (ideally) tyres needing replacement at some point soon due to their age (not tread levels), though it's worth noting they hold air / drive fine. They are a few minor blemishes / imperfections, but overall this vehicle is in fantastic condition and has been much loved throughout ownership - it would be great to see it go to MMOC member who will cherish it as much as we have.
