Minor dying in South/Central Texas

Post by 53lake »

I've been contacted by the owner of the land where this very sad 1959 Minor is lying in South/Central Texas (Eagle Lake area). He wants it gone, but is reluctant to crush it if there are any serviceable parts that could be rescued. Presumably too far gone to restore (although it is free to anyone wanting to haul it away). The good news is that the ignition keys are included!
I know there are a few Minor owners in this part of the USA. If anyone has interest in parts or the whole, I'll be happy to pass along the direct contact.

Thank you for posting on here.
An interesting facet of the car shown is that it appears to be fitted with a Facet red top fuel pump which indicates to me that it has been run in the recent past so the engine may well be free to rotate.
