Van wings

Post by darren1camper »

I am restoring a 1969 van anyone recommend where I can buy steel wings from in the uk at a reasonable price. £600 a pair seems steep wish I had bought a garage full when they were £50

Yes, I don’t think I’d pay that, not so bad if that’s the only thing required but if there’s more to replace on your restoration it gets expensive. Metal thickness may be an issue on cheaper wings, if they exist. Rust on used panels can be a problem but decent ones can be found, that need little work.

You can purchase cheaper imported "pattern" wings but in my experience they are of poor quality when compared with the "Heritage" wings and rust quite quickly. If I was going to buy new wings for my car I would spend the extra money.
