convertible hood flapping in the wind

Post by glazebjj »

Hi,
Does anyone have a solution to stop the hood of a convertible from flapping in the wind. (apart from a hood bag) Ive tried clips etc but they work loose. Is there anything available to fix this?

regards

John,
Easily done with Velcro. Here's a few photos of what I did. A width of 1/2" split pipe lagging tensions the hood and protects you from banging your head. The velcro is sewn into the seam of the hood. No more flapping.
