Re: Falling standards
I've commented previously that this was drifting off-topic which was a gentle hint. Some of it has started to get political and verging on personal, neither of which are permitted under the Ts&Cs. May I suggest that we return to examples of where standards are falling?

Re: Falling standards
Thread drift happened on the first page, it started with table manners and within a couple of posts moved on to the use of English!
Re: Falling standards
Or standards not falling. Without being too controversial I think we might agree that the abolition of workhouses represents a small improvement.

Nothing wrong with us all being different and not agreeing, it keeps the world interesting. You certainly get a glimpse of contributors character when some of these threads drift !
I'll go on record as being 55, so not that old.And their ages, Les!
There is nothing mild about Momentums intentions and they still rule Labour behind the scenes, they didn't depart with Jeremy Corbyn.Mild social democracy
Plus witness the anti-Conservative protest in Manchester just recently, openly waving red flags with the hammer & sickle on them.....
We live (at present) in a democracy where people are allowed to express themselves, not if they took charge......
Plus I note it is mainly the left wing PC brigade that shout people down and lable them 'ists or phobics' whenever they encounter someone with a different opinion to theirs who won't keep quiet and just accept their bullying ways.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Jagnut66, you 'go on record as being 55', but one wonders if that is your actual age!

I was only counting this life, not any previous ones.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Right, it looks like people can't take a hint. I've twice cautioned that the thread is drifting too far into politics. The last comment I read was completely political, so I have deleted it and locked the thread.
