Look at Life films
I've been browsing some of the Look at Life films made by Rank Films in the late 50s & early 60s.
Getting a Move On - 1961
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4J6waAaSa0
About 6 minutes in, rescuing a Minor, presumably on the A1 as it's somewhere north of Stamford, as the Removals Truck heads up to Scotland....

I agree though - a most interesting film.

Re: Look at Life films
Reminds me of assembling a Mini in the 1970s at the Queens Hotel, Cheltenham. I am the one by the N/S door 'A' post.
The others are from left to right - Mr Roger Formby, Mr Jim Loveday & Mr Richard Giles. We were representing Cirencester Car Club.
We got the chance to assemble the Mini on my quick answer regarding wet liners.
Whilst we were quick we did not qualify with a low enough time for the national event.
We got our photos in the press though and below is a press photo taken during the event.

Fantastic film, I wish I'd been in amongst those crowds watching those racing events live! How about 1960.... A Car is Born. Triumph Herald launch, one put together by 4 Apprentices in 4 minutes..
Also good to see that my model of Triumph was put through such rigorous tests pre-launch.
A great memory for there Phil. Bet you feel like that was yesterday though and the years in between have flown by too fast....Reminds me of assembling a Mini in the 1970s at the Queens Hotel, Cheltenham. I am the one by the N/S door 'A' post.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Seems it's no longer available - copyright issues?
