Re: My Traveller. a Rolling restoration.
John Welcome to the Forum, Season's Greetings.
Thanks for the piccies , Forumnites love those. It's clear that you have a few issues underneath whilst topside
it looks pretty good. The bad news is that you're not likely to crack it before Christmas 2020.The good news is you've caught now , before things get too out of hand.
I predict quite a bit of cutting out the rot /fabrication /new repair panels / welding and woodwork , etc to keep you out of mischief in 2021.
Lots of restoration threads covering the areas you're looking at on the Forum , plus the ongoing help / suggestions to specific questions. Keep the questions coming , most of the gang are willing and able and will relish the opportunity to exercise the little grey cells in lockdown.
Happy New Year with the precious Family car. Bob

Re: My Traveller. a Rolling restoration.
Thanks for the welcome Bob,
My very first car was a 4 door saloon many years ago so i'm not totally unfamiliar with a Minor ....luckily i also amassed a fair few parts and panels to restore that one but it wasn't to be for various reasons. I seem to have most of the panels to do around the front of the car... just want to get new chassis legs sorted now as they are a bit of a patchwork quilt of bodge repairs. Front crossmember also needs looking at as its rusted through at one end..see pic.
Cheers

Re: My Traveller. a Rolling restoration.
John
I'll put you in the " you can't scare me " category of Morris Minor restorers then , if that's alright by you ?
Not a cheque book mechanic who never dirties their hands. Experience is a great teacher.
Happy Christmas Bob
