I've just seen this appear on fleabay.

A little strange, as they say
Car has been stood for approx. 15 years, she's complete, would need extensive work to get road worthy again.
Yet if you do a DVLA search, you get back that the Tax only ran out in July this year!

I just checked on the GOV.UK website and it says SORN.

I don't think that necessarily means that it was taxed. How could it have been if it hasn't been MOT'd during recent years? It is post 1960 so requires an MOT in order to tax it. I think sometimes the information on that site is confusing.

Good point, it didn't say 'Exempt' just 'No Details Held'.
The excuse would probably be the caveat at the top of the page: "This is a new service – your feedback will help us to improve it."
