After 25 years of not having a road worthy Morris I now have a white 2 door saloon XTU 516F, it's got a 1275 engine, disc brakes, anti roll bar etc. Does anyone know anything of it's history? I believe a previous owner was a member and posted on here.
My first car was another 2 door saloon (Almond Green), FJK 387G sadly sold about 10 years ago as I lost garage space. It has been off the road for about 15 years at that point. Would be nice to think it's out there somewhere, normal online checks show nothing though.

At least your old car is still shown on the DVLA site as last taxed in 1991. It is also still shown on the congestion zone site too, but that is likely, as they draw their info from DVLA.
It might be still out there! I have just come across a stored moggie that was last taxed in 1988, so don't give up hope.

So a bit of digging through the pile of documents I got with the car reveals that a previous owner was the Morris Minor Millennium Company. My guess is they did the engine & brake conversion.

XTU 516F was my daughter's first car at 17-21 years old in Manchester. I did quite a lot of work on it.
