So folks, from tomorrow there are just 9 days to go in the MMOC 40th Anniversary Charity marathon. PLEASE do all you can to spread the word and encourage as many people as you can to contribute to the fundraising effort for Marie Curie. The work they do is phenomenal and they need every penny they can get. Please send whatever you can - it all helps.

You can donate via our Just giving page http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/M ... athon-2016

It is also possible to donate by text. Those who wish to do so can text MMHA63 and the amount they want to donate to 70070. E.g. MMHA63 £10 then enter 70070 on the phone number box of their message. Those donating by text will be offered an option to gift aid the donation if they wish.

Thanks so much

Best wishes to all

Bruce

STAGE 77:

A very damp and drizzly Penarth this afternoon but the change was rattling into the collection boxes and buckets at a good pace. Thanks to Adrian and the South Wales branch for setting up the stop. They're joining us at the Cardiff hospice tomorrow than coming over the Seven Bridge to the Bristol stop too. Very dedicated in South Wales

Apologies to all that today's updates are a little late in being posted. Seems a bit stale to say today was another brilliant day but it really was. After a very stormy night in Cardiff with high winds and lashings of rain the morning cleared enough to allow the sun to break out to accompany us to our last Marie Curie hospice visit. The staff were really excited to see the car and talk to us about our cars and the run so far. Once again it was amazing to see all the good things they are doing here.

STAGE 79:

Our route to the next stop of the day, Winford Primary School near Bristol, where Avon branch chair Nik Gardener is head teacher took us through the centre of Penarth and through Cardiff city centre past the iconic landmarks of the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Castle. Once on the M4 we took the Severn Bridge new crossing and headed to Winford. In true club spirit, a number of the South Wales group came with us. Once at the school the children served us with teas and cakes and had an absolute blast with the cars. What the neighbours thought about all the car horns being sounded was anyone's guess

STAGE 80:

Final stop of the day was a visit to Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre at Brislington. Lovely welcome from Lucy and Charlotte and really good to see a whole complex set up to look after, rebuild and maintain or beloved Morris Minors. Lucy will be sending us some additional photos to post here shortly but here are a few of the car at the premises.
