Boot lids for MMs

Post by RobThomas »

Just as a record for the website I've posted these photos.

Bootlid and catch for a Lowlight. Changed after circa 111000?

Bootlid and catch for a circa 1952.

Boot catches for early and late MM Lowlights (Changed circa 34500), the longer one being for the later cars. I've been fabricating copies. Later catches such as the 2nd pic above are more like the Morris 1000 sculpted shape.

My 1951 MM, with chassis no 122061 has the second catch and lid...
Because the backside from my car was complete rust free and never repaired by welding, it looks like the parts are original.
So end 1951 the first lid was already gone.
