Fuel pumps
Pump died. Swapped for spare. Works but chattered a lot. Changed for new electronic pump. Won't work properly at all, keeps dying. Changed back to previous one. Would only idle at high setting. Still chattered like mad, eventually ran hot and kept stalling. Am going to buy a new pump again to make sure its not a carb problem. 2 questions. 1 Who has recently bought a good new pump and where? Mechanical or electronic. If electronic what make/type. 2 if its not the pump what else would cause these symptons? Carb settings seem OK and piston falls freely)

Re: Fuel pumps
If you're going to buy a new pump, my advice would be to stick to an original type SU electric pump (Manufactured by Burlen Fuel services at Salisbury and which at least can be serviced) and not bother with anything electronic.
Re: Fuel pumps
NO one seems to have original pump to sell. Not Moss Bull Motif or ESM
Re: Fuel pumps
Thanks but yhey say have to wait for them to make one. Up to 10 weeks. Have bought one on ebay. Regards.
