Hi, just a quick query i was driving a few months back and my windscreen trim began frantically wobbling, it turns out one of the centre finishing clips popped out and is lost forever! I still have both the main trims and I think I put the other clip safe somewhere in the shed! I know these chromes are pretty rare. My question is, can you buy the clips or are they also rare? Or maybe that someone lost everything but the clips and wants to sell them to me?
Here's a thought, there are a lot of splitscreens still on the road, and all I can find on this subject is how rare the trims are. It's only a piece of flimsy chrome trim, why can you buy hockey sticks, bumpers, stainless wheel hubs etc but nobody has thought to supply a remanufactured splitty trim?

Re: Splitscreen windscreen chrome
It all comes down to the cost of tooling up for production and if someone is prepared to finance the project. There is a fair demand for winscreen trim as can be seen from the number of split screen Minors with missing trim. Very early series MMs had a different surround so that is a different problem. The cost per unit would still be high in order to recoup the production costs.
