Rear lap belt installation

Post by bushhouse »

Hi All, can't seem to find any pics about installing rear lap belts. Do "we" think that the far edge of the rear floor pan is the best place to drill for the outside fixing (red dots) ? I'm guessing the midline fixing is as shown here. Thanks +++[frame]Image[/frame]

Looks OK as long as you are fitting static belts.

Lap belts are really not advised. In a crash all the load goes across the midriff, possibly damaging internal organs - and the torso hinges forward and the face smashes in to the top of the seat back in front......... :o  I really hope you can see that lap and diagonal are a MUCH better bet.
