Moggy 1000 Traveller - Advice

Post by pollyscraps »

Hi all!

I am new here and tbh the world of Morris Minors is completely new to me! My father has recently died and amongst his possessions is a Morris Minor 1000 Traveller (I believe) first registered in 1968.

I am wondering what it is worth, it won't start, but there is no surprise there as it has not had anyone set eyes on it for around 12 years as my father has been unwell (I wouldn't have a clue how to start it anyhow!). It also has four flat tyres. It is dusty but the paint work looks lovely, there is a small amount of work that would need to be done on the wood at the back window but not anything that looks major.
Inside, the leather seats look lovely, the back is immaculate, the driver side has a small split at the seam when you sit on the seat but no tears or marks otherwise.
She is a lovely dark blue-y grey colour.

Does anyone have any idea on how much it might be worth? Or how I go about selling it?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome! If you post your position we will be able to point you in the direction of a local branch of the Owner's club. If you contact them someone should be able to pay you a visit and give you some idea of it's value. Posting up pictures on this site would give us some idea but it's very difficult to value that way.

Get some pics of it posted on here.Users will be able to give you at least a basic idea of what price to expect.beware of anyone making offers before you have received some feedback from here. There are those that will try take advantage of your lack of knowledge and steal it from you.Whilst I'm sure no regular users of this forum wouldnt dream of doing this the forum is open to anybody.

If you find all that boring and cant wait I'll give you a grand for it now :-)
