Modified steering wheel

Sometime at car 29862 the steering wheel was modified, anyone knows how? Thanks

I have two different types of MM steering wheel hanging up in the garage, is this what you mean?
One type has a slight dome on top of the three stubs at the boss, the other is very flat (the earlier type I believe). They seem to have slightly different casting/strengthening ridges inside the boss also. everything else seems to be the same. The early steering wheels had a brown boss, and the later gold. Hope this is the answer you were after.
