Hi,
For someone who started off by saying they were in no way a professional, you seem to be doing a very professional job! :D
Excellent work!
As an ex-BT engineer I too like the fact that an ex-BT Minor will soon be back on the road. I'd love to see it back in BT yellow and the sign-writing re-applied but that's just me. I wonder how long it would take you to source the BT engineers spares / tools / parts bins to re-equip the back for when you take it to meets................
Whatever you end up doing with it I shall look forward to seeing it at the National one year (this one??).
Best wishes,
Mike.

So Progress on this project has been a little slow due to the distractions of re-spraying my brother's 4 door and my convertible... The results of both however have been quite pleasing. :D[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

But we are now back on message :D

This weekend I've completed the gutter rebuild on the Driver's side, lots of very fiddly bits to make up..[frame]Image[/frame]

Including this bit :o[frame]Image[/frame]

So to work we go....[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame] [frame]Image[/frame]
[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Now that the cab is complete, next weekend we can begin on the rear valance. I've braced across the door opening and taken LOTS of Measurements ahead of cutting!![frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Well work has begun on the rear section. First to get attention was the rear valence.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

The corners were in poor condition and the inner webbings attaching to the inner valence were missing....[frame]Image[/frame]

So set to work making those up.....[frame]Image[/frame]

The rear inner valence tried for size....[frame]Image[/frame]

I discovered that the new floors cannot easily be threaded in with the rear valence in place so I've set to work removing the floors and sorting out the wheel arches....[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame] I left the remaining wheel arch bottoms in place while I tacked the top of the new section in place to help with alignment
[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Next weekend I hope to repeat this on the other side then I'm hoping to repair the inner arches as it's mainly the edge that has gone.... Saves a few pennies :D[frame]Image[/frame]

really enjoying looking at your resto thread, great work and fantastic, clear photography. If you are anything like me, the thread will act as a constant reference source not only for inspiring others to get stuck in with their own projects, but for your own references too.
You're worked hard on this at the weekend, hope going back to work on monday morning will be restful in comparison. Have a Nice week.

The last two weekends have seen a little more progress. The loading bay section of the van is all uncharted territory so it's taking a little longer to fathom out.

First up was the near side rear wheel arch:[frame]Image[/frame]

I repeated the procedure from the other side, in leaving the bottom of the original arch in place to help with alignment. The results appear quite pleasing. There is a little warping of the flat panel work of the van side but hopefully this can be dealt with in paint prep [frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

So then on to the loading bay floors..... Not going to be putting much in a van looking like this...[frame]Image[/frame]

I have tacked the floors in at the front end but left them resting on the rear valence at the back until I offer the body onto the chassis. I thought this would be best as I can ensure that everything is 100% square before finally welding them in place.[frame]Image[/frame]

With the floors loosely in, now for the inner arches. New ones of these are expensive and funds are low so I'm going to repair the old ones once they are liberated from the original floors....[frame]Image[/frame]

As you can see the bottom lip is in poor condition and the back section spotted to the rear arch is missing completely![frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Then round the sides.....[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

They came out quite well, now onto the back. This is a bit of a guessing game so I've tacked a section in place, offered it to the rear arch, then completed the profile. There is still the inward facing lip to do......next weekend![frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Now to do it all gain for the other side!!

This market place has a closed mail traffic, without an account it is not possible to mail the people.
But his phone number is in one of his other advertisements, and I spoke with him already.
when you click on "Toon telefoonnummer" you can see it, this is because of spam
He told he sell these parts because he wants to rebuild a pickup.
So he is also looking for the pickup parts.
