Scratches on side windows

Post by Bit of Both »

Hi

Can anyone give me some advice on how to remove surface scratches on the side windows of my Morris?

Thanks

Depends on how deep the scratches are but there are some tips in this thread: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... ow+scratch

Have you tried this type of glass polishing compound?
I used this on our ford fiesta using a cordless 12v drill and it works well.
You do have to be patient and not 'overdo' it as you can distort the glass if it gets hot!

Hi

Thank you very much for the information. The scratches do not seem to be too deep.
I am definitely going to try it.

Side windows are plentiful - it will be easier to simply swap in good ones......

Hahahaha - didn't notice that.... Still - they are just flat glass - so any aouto-glass place should be able to cut new ones from sheet very easily.......
