Re: how many oil litres want ?
The Minor is unusual in that engine oil is also used in the gearbox, using gear oil will damage it.
Capacities are;
engine 3.7 litres, allow more with a filter change
gearbox 1.3 litres
diff 0.85 litre

Re: how many oil litres want ?
As above - DO NOT use 90 oil in the gearbox. This is all in the Workshop Manual Sandun - you should READ it!!!

my god when i buy 2 years ago ,it has 90 oil i not chenge it yet - i am going to change oill so asked form u ? Now i check oill ,gear box oil not thick like engine oil - what i do gear box will break? What i do now
Re: how many oil litres want ?
Don't worry too much Sandun - if you think the gearbox has the wrong oil in, just change it for standard engine oil, and then change it again after say a thousand miles or so and it will ensure that the old oil is removed. The thicker oil - whilst it may quieten the gearbox noise a bit will just affect the changing of the gears which will be affected a little by not turning fast enough - gearchanges may be a bit crunchy and hard to engage. I don't think there will be too much lasting damage unless it has been driven like this for a long time. If so you may need a new gearbox but try the oil change first.
Also, must endorse Roy's note above. Many, if not all of the answers you need are found within the workshop manual.

Oh don't panic - just change the oil. Some of the 90 grade oils tend to attack the bronze parts in the gearbox - but it will be ok if you change it now.

Re: how many oil litres want ?
Strange about the oil, I have a 1935 series 1 morris 8, a 1950 MM minor and a 1963 pickup and all have been running on EP90 Castrol in the gearbox since 1970 with no trouble, guess I must have been lucky
