Project mini mater

Post by mbandhjd »

was pointed to this area by irmscher so i will start a thread in here for my toy :)

Hi all.
New boy here.
My name is Mark.
I come from a wide variety of show cars (including to date 4 skylines (still own one) , imprezza, galant super vr4, escort cab, rx8, m3 and the latest happens to be project mini mater :)

He's not ready for the road yet but i'm getting there :) I work in IT but i'm at my happiest with a spanner in my hand having a go. :)

The car was originally a REALLY run down 64 traveller and has been a complete strip down and ground up build.

so quick spec and by no means comprehensive.

1275 midget engine bottom end
metro turbo head
hybrid turbo
ford type 9 conversion
ford brake conversion (discs)
new ash wood pack
mini lites
custom exhaust (v8 look lol)
retrim interior
respray in bentley racing green
electronic ignition conversion
electronic fuel pump
moto-liter steering wheel
alternator conversion
full chasis restoration
loads more to the list.

my plan is to complete the car and keep for the shows and meets.
everything is brand new on car and its getting close to the dreaded MOT.

heres a pic or 2. not the best but will upload many more. :)

great looking car, nice spec as well.

not being able to see the back of the cab, do you know if it is a standard pickup cab back or is it custom made?

Thanks,
I'm not sure if the rear is original. I think it may be fibreglass.
I have decided the best thing to do is mess about with Perspex once happy I can then get glass cut to replicate.
