Mystery Switch
Hi Just bought my first morris. i was taking some photos so i can have photographic evidence of work done kind of before and after shots when a found a switch under the dash below the lights and starter buttons i was wondering if any one knows what it is for. its not an immobiliser and as far as i can tell it doesnt do anything. it looks factory fitted the car is a 1957 four door saloon.

Re: Mystery Switch
Indeed, when you've got the headlights or sidelights on, flicking the switch will switch the panel lights on and off without switching the headlights/sidelights off.
It can be useful if you're having difficulty focusing on the road at night with the speedo lights being in the corner of your eyesight.
The downside of switching them off is that you can't see how fast you're going though!
