cant get in members section???

You have to enter the username and password which are shown in the current edition of "Minor Matters". The details change each time the magazine is published. If you look on the messageboard main page, in the "Member's Area" box is a link to confirm your membership. Follow that to enter the name and password.

My first visit to the site. I did get to the members section but found nothing there. One part was 'locked'. What did I do wrong?

Hello Bluebell, welcome to the site. As long as you confirm your membership as above, you should find a few topics in the Members' Section - I've just checked, and there are definitely some threads. "Locked" means that one of the moderators (and they do an excellent job) has deemed that discussion on the subject has been concluded, and so the thread has been locked to prevent new postings. You should still be able to read the earlier postings.
