Flapping hood?

Post by Declan_Burns »

The hood on my convertible is not quite as taught as it really shood be. Adding some pipe insulation (also available in black) helped a lot but it stll flaps above 45 MPH. Sewing a velcro strip on the seam solves the problem.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

My new TR7 hood came with (wider) versions of your velcro straps. Hope your sewing didn't puncture the outer skin of the hood fabric!

Roy-No fear!,
I sewed it on the inner seam-it's wide enough to sew the velcro on.
There are actually three-one in the centre and two about 12" left and right of the centre.
