Just to say would also be very interested in modded meet with a track somewhere, and i imagine most modded minors would cruise along on motorways alot better that standard lumps, which should help the turnout :)

Loads of great track suggestions, thanks guys :D . It does seem that I may have started a new wave of ideas :o 8) I have no idea how to start a show but I'll try and get something sorted for next summer, even if it's a dedicated show area at the national for us to mess around in  .

dantournay, are you building this yourself as it looks like you have an amazing engineering mind and when can we expect it to be show ready 8)

I wish! No, none of my handiwork I'm afraid. Jonathan and all at http://www.jlhmorrisminors.co.uk deserve the credit for it as they've done everything except the recent bodywork work.

An obsessive mind perhaps but I'm delighted with it so far and all going to plan I'll have it running for summer next year.

fistly i did fancy a 1300 spitfire engine, box an a dolomite rear axle (as i have the rear axle from one of my previous cars), but i have also been told about an 1800 marina engine (complete) plus i have now seen a 1300 engine.

My dream engine would be a V8 - but i am waiting for the right car (resto) job before i put one of them into a moggie

GDL so you have changed your mind and are keeping it..

the 1300 marina engine is a straight "forward" change the 1800 is the B series i believe and is a big heavy lump..probably better off with the 1300

I was always in two minds whether to sell, as deep down i wasn't 100%, so he stays with me.

Yeah the 1300 is the option i am going for. i will keep you all posted, and hopefully will then show off its new colour (fingers crossed)
