Squeaky suspension
I've developed a squeak/creak in my front suspension. It started with just the offside, now its both sides. I cant work out where its coming from though, dampers seem ok, i gave the trunnions a fresh squirt of grease, spray some WD40 on the eyebolts and ends of the tie bars, but it still squeaks.
I checked for play in the trunnions, with the front of the car jacked up, they seem ok, no movement when i rock the wheel. Is this something i should be worried about?

Sounds like the suspension rubbers, I had lots of squeaks and creaks so I replaced the lot with poly bushes, as they were quite badly worn so much so in the case of the eyebolt ones I had to get new eyebolts as they had becomed ridged were the rubber was shot.
Cheers

And dont do what I did when I did mine, click the ratchet the wrong way (no I dont know why I changed direction) and place on the nut to be tightened home pull hard one damaged thumb nail on the lower suspension arm later , just take your time and allow that you may need to replace the Eyebolts as well if you dont have any spare ones to hand, if you are unsure just allow a whole weekend and you will have plenty of time, the older I get the longer things take probably due to the frequent tea break`s that are required
Cheers

same here, but when I was younger I was more inclined to put stuff back together with dodgy parts rather than delay the job waiting for new bits.the older I get the longer things take
The other amusing thing to do is go and buy all the bits you 'might' need then find out you didn't need them and have a growing selection of new spares..

Late 20s!!! weyhay
Actually I'm about twice as old as I was when I bought my first Minor..
On a business trip to the states when I was in my late 20's I was chatting to a waitress and asked her to guess my age. When she replied "early 30's" I was not happy! Even if it was probably due to the frequent long haul flights. Especially as she probably took a few years off to be polite
