Post by shymoggie »

Hi again,

Its me the owner of the bucket or junk !!

Just gone out to the car to put it away and the charge light won't go out....... all I've done today is put a new dizzy cap on it !!!!!

What have I done wrong ? Is there a link between the regulator / dynamo & distributor ?

Hello SM,
my wife's car had exactly the same symptom, the cause was a defective diode in the alternator. I think that it is also possible if you have a dynamo and the regulator box has a defect. There is no link with the distributor.

Probably a wire has fell off the dynamo/alternator. If not check the connections onto the conrol box.
