advice needed please on a2 door , i am having trouble with the door , should there be a spacer plate between the hinge and the boby ?

If you need to lessen the gap between door and B pillar, then yes, you can make spacers. Make up cardboard templates of the door hinges (take door off first) and use the templates to mark out the spacers on 1mm steel, Cut the spacers out with tin snips and drill the boltholes.

It's a bit of a bodge but I used to loosen off the hinges without removing, stick a 2p behind and retighten. Did the job quickly
