I have a pair of door mirrors fitted (to the quarter light triangle) with flat glass, which are ok but I would prefer convex glass for a better viewing angle.
I bought from our local Halfords cheap bin some convex replacement glass, which I thought I could grind to fit! Huh! Grinding seems to leave the edge with multiple small chips, which doesn't look good!
I found that if I use a glass cutter (wheel) I can draw a shape on the surface and the break will follow the score well
I think I need to make a 'former' to run the cutter round but can glass be scored with a pointed scorer which might follow a guide better? (more like a pen)

Re: Cutting Door Mirror Glass
Hi Alan nice to meet you at the seminar... depending on how much needs to come off, you may get a very muscley arm but an oil stone takes glass down.. slowly but eventually. So there is an opportunity to finish the edges off nicely.

Hi Dean, I must admit I didn;t think of an oil stone - I suppose I could 'rough' it to size then get the stone out!

Re: Cutting Door Mirror Glass
I bought a pair of convex circular glass replacement glasses at an autojumble, took them along to my local glaziers and had them glued on top of the existing wing mirror glasses, I did not trust my tube of xxxxstick.
