Another Rough Price

Post by iandromiskin »

This time I was wondering what the rough price is for a morris minor shell (no engine, gearbox or interior) with moderately rusty exterior (in all the usual places). Thinking of buying it for spares as the owner is gonig to scrap it at the weekend.
Gertie, 1962 Saloon, Milly, 1969 Traveller (ex APL 971H) and now KAS 1958 4 Door Saloon.

I'd ask him where he's going to scrap it.... if it's a free pick up and take away service.. just offer him a fiver.

Hopefully - he will give you it for the taking away! He will get very little for a bare shell at scrappy - so maybe a bottle of something nice would do the deal ?

She would be well chuffed, as I expect she was hoping to see the back of it!

I took some really poor scrap to the yard a couple of days ago - and the ferrous stuff fetched £140 per tonne, so a bodyshell will have a significant value. Batteries averaged £3.50 each.
