fuel sender

Post by cloud »

I just opened the top of my fuel sender to see if it was salvageable and it looks good except there is fuel inside the coil area. Is that normal or even safe??? :o The float is bad but I have other floats that should work.

They are not sealed so will have fuel in them - quite safe The coil will wear as the wiper slides across it and eventually go 'open circuit' and not work - new one needed!
