That's not the only one that has been 'modified' in that way. I saw one down here a couple of years ago with the 'faux' split screen, and I bet there are others.......

Not that I know anything about split-screenery but aren't those 'meet in the middle' wipers the correct ones for a ginuwine splittie?

The 'clap hands' arrangement of wipers was a feature of the early 1000's too, discontinued in the early 60's.

The wipers were visibly different as the split screens used a certain type of arm and flat blade which differ considerably from the '1000'.

Episode 2, there's a Minor Driving School car.
This season is set in 1971, so you'd expect a late model Minor ....
The car they have used is a 1961 S3, so perhaps a little old to be a 1971 Driving School vehicle...
And it's a NI plate in 1971 Oxford....
Minor 1.JPG
But what threw me, and had me reaching for the Rewind on the remote, was the faux Split Screen appearance.
As the car is seen elsewhere in media without it, some fool at the production company might have thought it a good idea to add a line down the windscreen.
Minor 2.JPG
Lots of other issues with Registrations in the programme, like '73 plates in 1971!
Unfortunately there are lots of errors regarding the vehicles in Endeavour now. Largely because the producers decided to save some money and no longer use professionals to provide them :-?

There was a nice maroon saloon driving up my road in Bovingdon yesterday afternoon.

Not so much today, as last Thursday afternoon on the A52 in Nottinghamshire.
Took me until today to get the image off my dashcam.
Nice shiny looking green van; I only got a couple of seconds to spot it, as it was going the opposite direction.
No sign of post '63 front lights that I can tell, so perhaps a Series 3?

That looks pretty cool, your dashcam captured a beautiful classic car.

Looks like it's been pimped quite a bit, at least 'aesthetically' as far as the owner is concerned, perhaps mechanically too.

Just nice to see a SII on the road, even with it's post '63 lighting arrangement, although I really draw the line at it being forced to masquerade as a 'Minor 1000' with the bonnet badges.

I'm no big fan of the permanent air-brake , it's not as if there was any sun around..

Series II bonnet badges should just say 'Morris Minor', it wasn't a 'Minor 1000' until the Series 3 arrived in late '56, with the changed front & rear windscreens and the 948 engine. So it's possible the bonnet has been changed and badges couldn't be, or just weren't swapped over.

Crikey Berni, your eyesight is better than mine. Well spotted. :D

Now you mention it, I think I did know that. Just been out to the garage to check my badges.......phew! I've got the correct '1000' badges on.

You can't fit a Minor 1000 bonnet to a Series 11. The rear edge is a different shape due to the divided windscreen
The later badges have been fitted at some time.

Bearing in mind the cars are over 60 years old I wouldn't think many are as they were when they left the factory.

 I should have realised that.
I've only ever had my SII, so not totally up to speed with all the differences.
One of Basil's 'Morris Minor' badges isn't in the best of condition.
I often rummage the random 'bits and pieces boxes' at Autojumbles, to try and spot a replacement in a better condition  .

Just watched a re-run of The Pumpkin Eater ( 1964 ) , which featured a convertible GRN555 , not showing on DVLA site...
