Hi Guys,
I just bought a '57 minor 1000. (woohoo)
I'll get some pics on when i get the chance, the car has been slightly modified to keep up with todays traffic, one upgrade is a 14' steering wheel, however as its a bit smaller than the origional and i am 6'2 tall it sits a little high.
I have seen some parts are changable with the old mini, and i was wondering if anyone had used or tried to use the steering wheel lowering bracket on a minor?
Or any other suggestions?
Thanks all

more than a minor to me
Re: New member, Steering wheel question
Welcome to the Forum! I'm the same height - and I have no problems with steering! Perhaps your seat straps are broken - or tired! The 'lowering' brackets for a Mini are lethal - the steering column on Minor and Mini were cleverly designed by Issigonis to buckle forwards away from the driver in a heavy frontal. Fit the lowering brackets - and that will be lost - the wheel will come straight back at you!

If you don't like the 14" wheel perhaps returning it to the original size would be better. They do come up on Ebay or post in the Wanted section of this Board.
