Strange coincidence

Post by Ondergard »

I've just noticed that two of the posters on this board - including a moderator - have the same names as two of my Methodist Minister colleagues... but they aren't my colleagues (I've checked!). At least one of the names isn't the most common in the world, either!

A Methodist Minister called Rev Roger Rust would be so cool!

I was a Methodist for a while, by the way, in between the Church of England and the Baptists!

Okay, then, I'll have to tell you who they are - Chris Morley and Mike Long!

I shared a study with REV Mike Long at Wesley College Bristol when we were training for the ministry, but he doesn't own a minor. I don't think REV Chris Morley does, either, but I must confess to only knowing him by sight and by name, so he might have a secret Morrising life for all I know!

In the Methodist Church we don't have vicars... only the Church of England have a job title of Vicar or Rector, so that joke only works for Anglicans, Harryanddoreen! Nice try, I'll grant you, but that's the way the wafer crumbles...!
