Front damper mounting

Post by reprs »

Can anyone advise? Refitting nearside damper to bulkhead of stripped cab. Offside has a plate with encapsulated nuts behind the crossmember which is welded in, nearside the plate is missing. What is the best way round this one? I can get behind the crossmember but it is tight so not sure if I could weld bolts in place. Hope this makes sense?

There must be a plate in there - it's just broken free - you will need to find it! You may need to cut in to the boxmember from the wheel arch.
