So I'll be on the road for another year......
2 advisories,
1 – Tyre wear, it looks like the tyres are dying before their time. Still plenty of tread but the rubber is beginning to crack so will need replacing soon. Shame, I’ll be sad when I loose my Coleway’s.
2 – Rear spring shackle rubbers beginning to show signs of wear, so time for some new bushes.
Not a great deal, glad I replaced all of my brake shoes and fitted the new cylinders on the front. All breaks pulled well and evenly, which was great, and no issues with the king-pins which is always nice.

I've just been quoted £114.75 for a set of 5 Firestone tyres (155/80-R-14)....
Is this reasonable or should I keep on shopping arround? I thought Firestone's where expensive.....

Hurrah for that MOT! Just buy 4 tyres - no point in having a 5th one rotting away in the boot.

Date Codes? I've never checked, and would like to know how old the ones I have are. Can someone explain how they work?
Thanks...!!!

Basically you are looking for the DOT code which will be something like "0509" which means the tyre was built in week 5 of 2009.
If you google for tyre gate codes there is lots of info...
