Is it ok to use the early indicators ?

Post by iandromiskin »

I need to change the indicators on KAS (Front and Rear) as they are bit big and ugly. Now I have four of what I think are the early indicators :-? with the clear flat glass and I want to know if its ok to use these as indicators providing I can get an orange bulb ?
Gertie, 1962 Saloon, Milly, 1969 Traveller (ex APL 971H) and now KAS 1958 4 Door Saloon.

Over here it is OK to use them with white flashing lights as it states in the MOT handbook that "Original features must be accepted" but I am not sure if the same rules apply in Ireland....?

If you are talking about additional indicators as well as side lights then yes, what you propose will be fine.
