one piece windows / front panel

Post by richiesmyname »

hi. has anyone out there converted the moggie to one piece windows, ie removing the quarter lights. any tips!!!

im also looking to remove the bumpers, i've see a couple of cars with nice little plain spoilers that bring the wings level with the front panel and generally tidy the front end up, does anyone have, or know where to get one.

thanks

The quarter-lights are an amazing feature - don't ditch them too readily. In rain - slightly open keeps the windows clear of 'fog' , and in hot weather - turn them outwards to force air through the car! It's the 'climate control' feature.

I like the no bumper look and when I removed mine I made up a couple of small panels to fill the gap.I made a plaster mould and had fibreglass everywhere but they didnt turn out so bad
Image
to be honest climate control is not to high on the agenda. mine are siliconed in and the car has had a 7" roof chop.

I've got some with single piece windows. They are however 'cheats' as the doors are 'frameless' so they only need chanels inside the door and not above it.
Would look even better on a chop top!
