First do you know if the car has been resprayed at any point? As if it isn orriganal it gets tricky.

Its a bit difficult to tell from that photo. (Camera flashes tond to distort the colours abit)
If you have a look at

http://members.fortunecity.com/minorman ... codes.html

at the bottom is a list of late travler colours.
Im not entirly shure which one.

Also not morris but still a bl car you could look at

http://www.teglerizer.com/mgcolors/

As it gives a good representation.

or

http://autocolorlibrary.com/acl_files/blmc.html

Hope this is of some help

As Edd says that pic is a bit dark!! What colour is the upholstery.
(seats and carpets) and what colour the coach line?
There are certain colours for the Travellers which applied from
June 1970, so the trim colours should give a clue to the original
colour.

It says on that Minor Mania website that Smoke Grey wasn't introduced on 1098cc Minor 1000 sallons untill November 1970. Mine's always been Smoke Grey but was made at the beginning of 1969. I'm intregued....

Also, I've noticed that all of the introducton dates for colours for 1098cc Minor 1000s are from 1967 onwards. So what colours were they painted between 1963 and 1967? :-? (BTW, I'm not actually asking, just stating a point).

I can just imagine a five year stint of bare metal minors rooling off the production line

Jack; the colour is Limeflower. It IS a standard Britsh Leyland colour used on very late Trav's. It is one of a range of colours that were really designed with the early 1970s model range in mind, so may seem to be at odds with the age of the Minors. I guess it has interior trim either in the same colour or black?
Enjoy your new Trav!

Ben

Looks a bit beigey to be limeflower (that's a truly late '60's colour, if you know what I mean...). Could it, perhaps, if it's a really late Traveller, be Bedouin?

Think camels and sand, and you're getting close. I'm almost certain that it's a late colour... I saw a traveller for sale in this "delightful" scheme, which was quite an optical feast...

Yup I think its Bedouin as well its not yucky enough to be Limeflower (although the picture quality is !!! ) if it is Bedouin the interior is autumn leaf (pale brown) in colour, if its limeflower the interior would be navy blue.
One of the best colour lists is on the bath site

Black seats were not fitted to Bedouin Travellers so the
jury is still out. You may well find that the real clue will
be the colour of the body stripe.

Jack that one looks like more like Sandy Beige a colour from 1955-1956 its not Bedouin as that is darker in real life, what colour were the door panels and the panels in the footwells.

Just to stick my oar in, it looks like Harvest Gold to me from the photo, and it was available in 1971 and seemed to grace an awful ammount of BLMC/BL cars of the 70's

Thats a good point as seen on marinas, minis maxis ect, maybe it has had a respray and that was the nearest colour to what they thought it was or could it have been ordered specially, and was not the standard interior black with harvest gold ?
Cheers
