How easy is it to change oil filter housing
Hi I would like to change from the original oil filter housing to a spin on conversion kit, is it very hard to change.

no it is very easy, when I did it to my car you could get the bits you need of a mini.
two nuts hold on the oil filter housing, take these of and then you can slip off the moggy oil filter housing. You then need to remove the two studs that are used to hold on the moggy oil filter housing.
Do the same on the mini, you can then screw the studs from the mini into the minor engine. You can then slip on the mini oil filter housing and off you go.
The reason you have to change the studs is that the spin on oil filter housing from the mini is a lot longer and the minor studs will not pass all the way through.

It's easier just to change the filter than to fit a new type of filter....

Re Spin off oil filter
Thanks for all help given. I am just after one little bit. And that is the Connector that goes between the oil pipe and the filter cover. I can just get my one unscrewed.

How do you get the bolt back on the filter housing? The spring seems to make it so tight to get the thread started? Thanks Ann
