noob question

I have a 68 1000 minor. there are 4 lights on the speedo. What is the orange light on the left for, above the blue full beam indicator, temp warning light indicator???

oil filter warning light

As aupickup says it is an oil filter warning light but as i understand it is not connected to anything.. it certainly has not on my 65 saloon.

when I fitted a temp guage I was able to wire the two top lights on the speedo into the indicator circuit so i had directional indicators, because yes looking at my flashing indicator is so difficult

not all the oil filter housings had a spade terminal for the wire to fit on, my 69 saloon has, my 65 van didnt

If you have a canister oil filter conversion it will be spare. I've used it for my trailer indicators warning light.
