new speedo cable

Post by berthilton »

Hi,

I have recently replaced a worn speedo cable but it keeps working itself loose at the speedo end.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The only thing I can think off is to use something like Thread Loctite in its weakest form and just use a few spots to hold it in place.
I assume you do mean the outer retaining screw on cover and not the cable its self, and have you made sure the end of the cable has gone fully home.
Cheers
